Specific task instructions

The instructions and the criteria in the tasks and activities will be used by yourTeacher/Assessor to determine if you have satisfactorily completed this assessment event. Use these instructions as a guide to ensure you demonstrate the required knowledge and skills.

To complete this assessment,you must plan and write two literature reviews on topics related to health and human services. You must complete the three tasks for both topics:

Task 1: Plan and gather information on each topic

Task 2: Analyse and present findings on each topic.

Task 3: Provide a reference list of information sources, using the APA Referencing style.

Research activities for this task may be completed in class, but the written components will be completed independently outside of class time and will not be observed by the assessor.

For each of the two topics students should allow a minimum of:

Part 1: Research-based – Literature reviews

To complete this assessment students must select two of the following topics that are relevant to theirprofessional context and work practices:

  • health informatics
  • social determinants of health
  • patient/person-centred care

 

For each topicstudents must then:

  1. Gather at least three credible sources of information on the topic and explain how they did this by completing Task 1.
  2. Analyse the information gathered and present their findings by completing Task 2.
  3. Provide a reference list of the resources used, in the APA referencing style.

the social determinant of health which directly or indirectly influence the health factor that are social and income lack protection, tensions related to education a job inequality, job insecurity and unemployment, insecurity related to food, working condition, insecurity related to housing, child development, social and non- discriminations factors,

factor which are related to social determinants like child marriage, early pregnancy and problems reated to job these all factor really affects the overall person health.

Relevance: The study on social determinants of health is conducted by many expert members team, so they are relevant to our professional context. The nursing profession is actively involved with the research study.

Reliability- Since this is conducted by the national and international organisations, it is highly reliable. They can be referred when determining social determinants of health. It presents the closet picture of this problem.

Currency of the information- The social determinants of health is a widely researched topic that varies from region to region. This source is from an appropriate time. The world health organisation has published a report on this that covers all the vulnerable groups. It has been updated or revised regularly. There are other international organisations that research on this problem. It is pretty organised and adjusted to our needs (Magnan, 2017).

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Assess and discuss the feasibility of incorporating the findings of the research into your professional context, and any benefits or risk associated with this.
The findings of the research are relevant to my professional context. They can be incorporated. This is also feasible. However, there are certain benefits and risks associated with it.

Benefits- The findings of the research is the most accurate information one could get. It is conducted by the professionals in the concerned area. They save a lot of time and money when referred to. This is also true as the research varies from region to region. Hence, they provide an approximate scenario of the problem.

Risk- There is also some risk of incorporating the findings of the research. Since the research contains certain part of the population, it is highly uncertain whether they depict the issue properly. The social determinants of health changes with region so presenting a generalised picture is challenging (Jackson & Gracia, 2014).

There are some aspects that could require more attention in order to research further. Food insecurity is an area that could require further research. It is quite difficult to cover all the regions that are facing food insecurity. Hence, some aspects could be left out in the research. Also working life conditions of all individuals is pretty difficult to determine. People can sometime display fake conditions that are favourable to them. Thus, it may require further information or research. Social inclusion is also a vague topic of research as it is challenging to get accurate data regarding social inclusion in different region. In the end access to affordable health services also requires further research. The population that have access to such services is widely disputed. Mostly authorities of a region try to project a good picture of the region. Hence, they escalate the actual number for good reputation (Jackson & Gracia, 2014).  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Provide a summary of your findings and conclusions based on the literature that you have reviewed.
During the findings of research we came across many social determinants of health. There are multiple concerns faced by the population. After research we can see that there are many issues that are vaguely found to be true. There are certain aspects where people disclose fake information for good reputation. Other times people are not aware of these issues. Inequality and discrimination are the main concern for the population when it comes to the social determinants. The resources that are not evenly spread are mostly wasted. The social factors play a huge role in deciding the overall health of a person. Education is another vital aspect that cannot be ignored. Education creates awareness among the masses.  Hence, it is observed that the health awareness is better among educated masses. Housing facility also affects the living condition of people residing in a particular area. If the people don’t have proper access to drinking and sanitisation facilities, there are bound to be diseases and pandemics spreading out of the areas. There are other social factors of determinants of health that inter related to each other. These issues also depend region to region (Adler, et al., 2016).

The information gathered can be used to learn about the current scenario and issues faced by the masses. Also we can take certain action to improve the present condition.

Spreading awareness and education among masses is our primary responsibility. The more the people are educated, the more they will be health conscious. The precautions that are needed to be taken are required by the people to avoid certain diseases.

Creating a network that reach the needed people in distributing the essentials across all regions is also important. The essential items and resources should be equally distributed among the masses for removing disparity. This should be our collective responsibility (Adler, et al., 2016).

We can use the current information and leanings from the research to make the world a better place. The current scenario has created a lot of disparity and discrimination. We can learn from the research findings how to overcome such challenges. The social determinant of health which directly or indirectly influence the health factor that are social and income lack protection, tensions related to education a job inequality, job insecurity and unemployment, insecurity related to food, working condition, insecurity related to housing, child development, social and non- discriminations factors. Our Objective to provide them best treatment and best medical facilities, with safe ensured. Objective to get promoted and be the best employees from the field. And objective to learn something new and good.
