Women play a significant role in building businesses and displaying leadership skills.

Introduction

This essay is based on women how leadership skills are used in business. Women play a role in business which has enhanced dramatically at the time of the 20th century. Women’s attitude towards society has changed the world. It was well known that every woman had a better connection with building skills. Women were empowered and had opportunities in this society. Nowadays, women entrepreneurs strive hard to change and secure the nation by making business as profitable.

This essay expresses how women engage in leadership and the challenges which are faced such as cultural barriers, and gender disparities. They also express by representation in the corporate world which is insignificant. Through these challenges, women change the world through leadership as they bring fresh perspectives that lead to better decision-making and more effective. Therefore, women develop an ability to serve as role models as they can inspire in decision-making.

Women in Business Leadership

In business, women brings skills which could be shift the culture of workplace as they often various leadership styles as compared to men . Women also generally lead with the compassion, ethics and respect. In other words, women in business create strong leaders by strong communications, handle the crises situations, be empathetic which allows to develop and nurture he connection with their teams (Ejimabo, 2015).

The level of degree of women in business leadership is far below as compared to men. Based on the research, the executive directorship position covered only 3.5 percent in India which includes the 15.4 percent and 1.0 percent in Australia as well as Canada of women. Gender equality and education in terms of economics will be accomplished after 180 years at the given rate at which the world is going. While observing the data of firm-level studies in 2018, it includes 20,000 firms in 90 countries and revealed that female participation is low at the position of executive and corporate boards. This essay shows that female statement is still low in the leadership of the business.

It was also observed that women in executive positions are momentous in the role of leadership. The majority of women in leadership executive are supporting the position but not leading the executive teams. According to the author (Carter & Peters, 2016), most women play roles in the position of human resource director (19%), and chief marketing officers (20%) with (9%) being chief executives or managing the directors. Women play a role in different positions in major businesses, and variation in female statements occurs depending on the country such as in the UK (7%), Norway(22%) for female directors, and so on. It is shown that the percentage of women is still insignificant as per the given size of the population of this gender in the whole world.

Thus, when the number of women in the leadership business is increasing or rising, the situation is trying to improve for the better. In business today, women are now leading powerful institutions such as PepsiCo. The CEO of the organization is Indra Nooyi who is a most powerful woman and became a chief financial officer which means that they had grown up into international empires. The other example which could be seen is that the CEO of Yahoo is Marissa Mayer. She is a born leader who took responsibility for running an internet firm at the starting year as she only focuses on leadership skills which are tried to apply to business (Rhode, 2017).

Women in Entrepreneurship

This essay shows some statistics data where females owned their business which has grown by 56.7 percent with sales generated from these businesses and it was increased by 5.5 percent. Entrepreneurship is entered in various segments such as real estate, retail, and service sector. Therefore, women’s participation in real estate is about 8.9 percent, in the service sector is about 78 percent, and in retail is about 15 percent.

It was clearly shown that women have done for themselves. Women had grown up over the past decades. As the studies signify that the number of women is increasing with the master of degree by 50 percent. It was observed that the demographic level also increased in first-degree holders and female degree holders by 40 percent. As this shows that women increase their chances of advancement in education to become leaders of business (Balachandra, et al., 2019)

The other reason is that a 30 percent growth rate was increasing in entrepreneurship where all the female employees belong to sales and HR occupations as well as they handle all the managerial positions. Some females are engaged in the movement of goods or transportation or service occupations. Therefore, it is open up for women to grab this opportunity by participating in various sectors of the economy and increasing their chances of owning one organization.

Barriers and challenges faced by Women from Dynamic Business Participation

In today’s world, there were very ups and downs which have been a hindrance not only to taking active roles in business leadership but also in corporate leadership. In this, the author (Abdalla,2015),  found that UK and US, the traditional cultures compel women not to promote to higher positions, and sometimes, some company not allowed to work with men because of different cultures and different religions. Women are also motivated to assume that leadership should be in supportive executive roles like marketing or human resource but men take the one of the leadership because of culture. This culture further limits female education to those who are already motivated to take some disciplines due to equality or gender.

In the case of firms, they may impede the advancement in the women’s business world. It was observed that women and men have different and divergent management styles as well as stakeholders also interrupt the female managerial style and render men more autonomy. All women face major challenges which are caused. Therefore, women face major cultural restrictions that restrict the hurdles them from participating actively in activities of the business.

Recommendations

Based on today’s generation, a majority of women consider entrepreneurship because it acknowledges them to make their own rules as well as women could succeed in their efforts. Additionally, the cost of business is quite low. Therefore, women could create corporations whose business can match their values.

The other recommendation is that women should be enlightened about how to develop or boost their confidence as well as how to deal with the new roles and responsibilities which arise in the organization. Women should maintain the work-life balance through opportunities and facilities (Piggott, 2019).

The other recommendation is that a Flexible schedule should be followed to become a potential female entrepreneur because it will prevent from continuing the similar discrimination that caused them to leave out the arena of the corporate. Therefore, to promote growth and development, the directors and stakeholders should make female business connections and networks.

Conclusion

This is to conclude that women play a role in business by using Leadership skills in the 20th century. In terms of economics, it required to prompt employers to hire females. Although, there is a gender gap that reduces leadership as well as entrepreneurship, cultural barriers which harm participation in women. As cultural barriers restrict women from working with men, taking active participation in leadership positions are considered one of the challenges for women.  But now, the business changed the world because several women own their enterprises. Therefore, leaders acquire the full of freedom to acquire education and show their talents along with women change the structural as well as cultural diversity of the business which leads to successful women leaders in the world.

In the end, women have the ultimate leadership style to take the lead in this new world of employment. The women are helping to transform the business for generations to come such as carrying innovation, enhancing a new approach to leadership, and aiding with diversity and inclusion.
