Develop Goals and Conduct a Personal SWOT Analysis

Introduction

The purpose of this report is to identify the personal strength, weaknesses, career opportunities, and threats. This report will help to analyze personal abilities, skills, and planning to achieve that goal. This report will also provide the vision to upgrade you in terms of learning new things that will be helpful for personal as well as professional development (Maister, 2012).

Summary of Report

The summary of the report includes a brief knowledge of personal SWOT analysis which will be useful to evaluate the strength of the personal skills and abilities, weaknesses in terms of lacking areas which need to be improved, and opportunities that give you the reason to achieve the goal by learning new things and threats which describe the actual scenario in terms of internal and external issues which may affect the process of achieving career goals, personal SWOT analysis is as follows:

Strength

My strength is that I am a good learner and always ready to learn new skills and courses which will be beneficial for my personal growth so I will use my strength for learning new professional courses through which I can learn some new abilities and techniques. Another strength is that I am ready to relocate anywhere that gives me the options option or change the location for career growth (Maister, 2012).

Weakness:

My personal is to taking time for decision-making and implementation. As I know that time is very precious so I should evaluate myself by personal SWOT analysis through which I got the right path for my career growth.

 

Opportunities:

There are lots of opportunities to learn professional management courses like different variant of SAP, Artificial Intelligence, and supply chain management course which will be beneficial for my professional growth. Apart from this, I can also learn new language courses through which I can upgrade my communication skills and provide opportunities to work in a global environment with different people (Sageer, et al., 2020).

Threats:

The main threat is to effectively manage the time of learning new professional courses and work schedules. In this scenario, I have to divide the time which can not affect other work like the personal schedule as well as the current work schedule. Another threat is to identify the good professional and MNC companies that provide the platforms for the learning and development of employees (Sageer, et al., 2020).

Goals and Objectives

 

 

Learning new courses for personal growth:

My personal goal and objective are to start learning new professional courses which will be beneficial for professional and personal growth. Like different variants of SAP and other industrial courses which will be in demand. Apart from this, I will be learning some language courses which can help me to connect with different communities of people and I can expand of work in different locations.

Connect with professional and organizational groups:

I will try to connect with more professional groups through networking sites and active membership will be participating in social corporate activities. It will help me to grow my professional network as well as provide the right platform for doing some social work. It will help to increase the goodwill and professional contacts for future growth.

 

Strengths Weaknesses
·          I have done management courses in my post-graduation and bachelor’s degree in computers. My strength is to learning new things and skills.

So it is beneficial for me to learn new professional courses for my personal growth.

 

·          Ready to relocate any  location which be beneficial for me to move anywhere for professional growth

·         Take so much time for implementation. I will be work to overcome this situation and try to implement the plans and goals which I have decided for myself

 

 

Opportunities Threats
·         Having experience in management work will provide lots of opportunities to learn some new professional courses which will be beneficial for personal & professional development.

·         Learning professional courses related to the course like SAP, Supply chain management and AI (Artificial intelligence) and some her technical courses.

·         Learning new languages will improve communication which can be beneficial for connecting with global people and opportunities to work some other in locations.

·         The main threat is to effectively manage the time of learning new professional courses. In this scenario, I have to divide the time which can not affect to other work like: my personal as well as the current work schedule.

·         Another threat is to connect professional workers and team which is teams in the market for a long time. So I need to learn new course which is demandable in market and contacts of some professional organization.

Collaborative project plan

  • Background/context:

As we know that Bytes Technology is a Melbourne-based IT solution company that provides a number of service and software development, system design, and IT networking to its corporate clients. The company established itself with a very minimum number of employees. In the last 12 months, company growth has increased rapidly. As the company is new and establishing itself many programmers and technicians handle individual clients. Management has to observe individual employees related to work. Duet to this organization’s culture has decentralized (Roth well, et al., 2015).

As the company has been growing continuously so the company needs more staff for different work Management analyzed that if the different areas of the project team will collaborate together company it will save the company cost and build strong relations between the team and management.

 

Goals & objectives:  Company’s main objective and goals are to become a well-known IT solution and service firm and corporate leader with a highly professional skilled worker team that follows a collaborative work culture environment (Roth well, et al., 2015).

To achieve the objective of a collaborative work culture environment company decide to start to team-based project in which every team member can share their suggestions individually. It will help to complete the project efficiently with teamwork and will manage the task centralized way (Lee, et al., 2016).

  • Project Overview:

As per your knowledge company has received a new project from a well-known corporate client to establish the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be helpful for improving help improve productivity in terms of project management, accounting, risk management, procurement, and supply chain operations. It is a very big project so the company decides to allocate the project in a team rather than an individual person (Roorda, & Rachelson, 2018).

  • Project scope and key tasks: As we know that this project is very important and big so we need to work in a collaborative environment where each member’s suggestions and skills are very important.

The scope of the project defines the system, technology, and staff of professional and skilled team members, programmers and technicianthat the company currently has. ERP solution required 5 major tasks which have described in the project overview (Roorda, & Rachelson, 2018).

We need to divide the team according to project like each project has 5 members of the team including 1 team leader. Each team leader will report to the project head. So required total team members according to the project is as follows:

Key performance indicators

To evaluate the project work and team performance and issues related to work we need to set a KPI for each project and team we need to observe the performance on the basis of the task which has been allotted to each team. KPI will work on the basis of the following work (Bondar, et al., 2020).

  • Need a Planning and overview related to particular assessment and task allocated to the team
  • Need to prepare the Model of the task which helps to analyze the performance is going in the right direction or not (Bondar, et al., 2020).
  • We need a professional team of coding like programmers and technicians and software which helps to analyze the coding of the programs (Tarricone,& Luca, 2002).
  • We need a professional team leader and testing evaluation tools which helps to test the programs and errors. For improvement of the program (Tarricone, & Luca, 2002).
  • For implementation, we need to test labs. In which we can implement the whole program.
  • At the end we need monitoring tools to monitor the performance of the project and the programming of work.

Collaborative strategies

Companies need to start collaborative work strategies in which the whole team members work on a single project by using their innovative ideas and providing the solutions to complete that project. In collaborative work, culture helps to build strong work relations among all the employees as well as we got innovative and a number of solutions and ideas related to the particular project.

Project timeline and resources

A project timeline is a kind of scheduler that describes and divides the time to complete the project. It helps to allocate the time according to the project. We need a timeline of 1 month in which we have to complete the whole project.

To successfully completion of the project we need to complete it before the timeline like in 20 days, so if we want to edit or upgrade some changes in the program or software we have additional 10 days for implementation and monitoring of the project.

In terms of resources, we have a team of professional programmers and technicians; apart from this we have the latest programming software and tools which can be helpful for completing the project.

(Part A): Developing the PD plan

A professional development plan helps to create the action plan against all the analyses related to the goal, scope of opportunities, and improvements related to work to successfully completing the project.

 

  1. Introduction/Background

The main objective of creating the project development plan is to identify the Strength of the company like: Professional and experienced employees, resources, latest technologies and tools which help to develop the software and project. This report will help to analyze personal abilities, skills, and planning to achieve that goal. This report will also provide the vision to upgrade yourself in terms of learning new things that will be helpful for personal as well as professional development.

The company’s Weakness is that they are not experienced in collaborative working environments. So they need to start and implement of collaborative working culture and environment in the company.

In terms of Opportunities, the company has a wide area in terms of teaching new skills to their employees, providing collaborative working culture to the employees through which they can give their ideas and innovative solutions which can be helpful for the success of the project. The company has an opportunity to include the latest technology tools and software which will be helpful for completing the project efficiently.

As we know that company is a new start-up and establishing itself in the market so the main Threat of the company is to reach and connecting with more corporate clients for more business revenue. Apart from this, we need to succeed in the competitive market and other IT companies which are already working from earlier.

We need to implement the strategies of collaborative teamwork and environment. The company needs to conduct a team meeting in which we can describe the process of collaborative work culture and their benefits for personal and professional growth (Stewart, 2014).

Key Actions and timelines:

 

As we know that company got a new and big project from well-known MNC So we need to work on this project with collaborative strategies in which In collaborative work, culture helps to build strong work relations among all the employees as well as we got innovative and a number of solutions and ideas related to the particular project (Disch, 2012).

We need to complete this strategy in a particular timeline. We need to start the Team meeting and training in which we can discuss the issues related to work and innovative ideas which will be helpful for completing the project successfully and efficiently. We need daily 1-hour meetings for discussion related to the project (Disch, 2012).

We need to develop some professional network like professional Accountants which can be beneficial to handle the company’s all account related work, some External educators through which company provide the educational classed related to professional management and Technical skilled workshop which will be beneficial for company and employees growth.

Will try to connect with more professional groups through networking sites and active membership will be participating in social corporate activities. It will help to grow company’s professional network as well as provide the right platform for doing some social work. It will help to increase the goodwill and professional contacts for future growth also (Asio,& Jimenez, 2020).

 SWOT stands for (strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats) it’s a self-assessment process to identify the strength and weaknesses of self or businesses. A similar method to it is the SOAR method, SOAR stands for select, organize, associate, and regulate. SWOT is a traditional method whereas SWOR is used more by younger or less developed businesses.

KPI stands for a key performance indicator. Two major key performance indicators for sales managers are as follows: 1. Sales volume by location –  by having sales data of a vast region you can analyze the sales demand of a particular area let’s assume location A higher demand for a particular item we can customize it and services around it according to the heavy demand of the particular location. 2. Employees satisfaction – a positive work environment enhances the working capacity and ability of employees which results in higher performance and more productivity throughout the day a study has shown a happy staff brings more business than a frustrated employee feedback, regular changes, and applying new methods.

Rice method – It has four-factor within it which are reach, impact, confidence, and effort for the prioritization of the work.

MoSCoW analysis – It has four different areas in which first is – must have this are essential needs, second is – should have this are important but not that essential, third is – could have that is nice to have, fourth is – will not have this is not needed right now.

Five management work practices to improve the work performance of the team and yourself are as follows:

Reward effort – appreciating the hard work of employees can boost their mood which results in overall productivity throughout the day.

Hold regular meetings – create separate meetings for strategic purposes and tactical purposes, and make sure proper time has been allotted for different activities like debates and important decisions.

Seek clarity – with time the vision among employee gets blurry and results in a lack of motivation and willingness to do work to avoid it company’s goal must be addressed to give them clarity.

Focus on team efforts – listening to each and everyone that they have been heard and motivate them on helping each other and develop brotherhood among them.

Stay committed – conflicts among members lead to thinking of avoiding conflict among them. It gives clarity and helps in making the right direction.
