What is this assessment task about? This task builds on Task 2.

You are a change management practitioner contracted by MMI Professional Education as  Program Manager to:

a)    Identify change requirements and opportunities to take MMI from the current business state to a desired future state

b)    Develop a change management strategy and plan for two change initiatives (projects). The two change initiatives (projects) will form the program (change plan) that will deliver the identified change needs to achieve the desired future state

c)    Implement the change management strategy (program)

d)    Evaluate the change management strategy

Task 2 focuses on point c) and d).

Task 3.1 Implementation

Develop, populate, and submit the following documents:

  1. Develop a Facebook (FB) post to publish on the company’s FB page where the change initiative is announced. The content of the post must highlight the benefits of the change initiatives.

The post can be as simple as content+picture.

Time to time changes are necessary it helps to improve the morale, and quality of work, and boost the productivity of the company.

It helps to improve collaboration, cooperation, and communication (Millar, et al., 2012).

  1. Write an email directed to a key stakeholder (your choice of stakeholder – group or individual-, based on the scenario used for the assessment) to:
    • Announce a significant achievement in the implementation of the change management plan (specify which achievement based on your Change Management Plan)
    • Explain why this achievement is important.

The email text should be in grammatically correct English, and written in an appropriate (polite, business-like) style.

As we all know that these changes were very necessary because they will help in increasing the productivity of the company and will help the company to attain better performance.

  • The quality of reporting needs improvement to gather more data about the progress of the implementation of the change management plan
  • Delegation arrangements: you will be away for a week and you will delegate tasks to Jacob Black, your assistant

Address the following Case Study.

Assume that the following has occurred when implementing the change management plan. Contextualise the scenarios where instructed based on your change management plan.

Scenario A

One of the high-priority risks occurred.

One of the key managers involved in the change process resigns unexpectedly. This situation impacts the change project schedule, creating a two-week delay in completing most tasks.

The Manager was very popular with his team, and a replacement may increase resistance to change.

Scenario C

Covid19 is adding unexpected complications to the implementation of the change management plan:

·         The staff works from home

·         Staff engagement through virtual meetings is challenging

·         Communication relevant to the change initiative is not as frequent as it used to be

·         Staff feels overwhelmed by the sense of uncertainty that the pandemic brings

·         A recent survey highlighted that staff is less invested in the change initiative due to:

o   Uncertainty and fear

o   Conflicting priorities

Worked well
According to the need of the organization, the change in the management plan was made in a way that resulted in boosting the productivity of the company the initiatives were consulted and were identified in a very nice manner. The plan was nicely communicated to everybody.
Could have gone better

The staff members were not satisfied with the assistance provided by the managers so the environmental survey should have been conducted.

The risk management process could have occurred on time so that the occurred risk could be mitigated on time.

The plan should have been discussed more effectively so that the problems could have been reduced with the help of collective opinion.
