Question 1

“We all tend to forget that it’s ninety per cent crap anyway. But the ten per

cent is good. The younger kids have sort of got the right idea on how to play

it; they have the right attitude. And that’s what rock is, an attitude.”

The New American generation began dancing in the early 1940s to the new dance beat of rock’n’roll, which is melodic and contains the best elements. Rhythm, jazz, blues, and country music are all combined in the genre of rock ‘n’ roll. Electric instruments were employed in rock ‘n’ roll. The best dancer using this type of music is Elvis Presley. Some individuals view this music as being of a lower social class and consider it to be tasteless. However, when Elvis declared that he was the new king of music, it inspired the younger generation. Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, the Beatless, the Rolling Stones, and James Brown are the members of this musical ensemble. The kind of dance music known as rock and roll features a strong beat and simple melodies. Electronic instruments and rhythm and blues elements are used to create rock ‘n’ roll. For the teenagers, it was like a fresh musical rhythm, and they liked it (Agrawal, et al., 2019).

In 1966, the clock strikes zero. Teenyboppers and the scream era were coming to an end. Age is known as the ear of the generation, and this generation gave rise to die-hard music aficionados. It was hailed as a big bang by rock fans. It also abandoned its 10-year “roll” at the same time, becoming more contemporary. It grew more contemporary and made room for the sidecar’s potential. However, Keith Richards asserts that 10% of rocker central is good and 90% is crapper. This is accurate in our opinion since, as we all know, tastes change throughout time as a result of new developments. A similar development occurred in the music industry when rock and roll first appeared; younger people were drawn to it and developed a passion for it. However, given that rock and roll bands are not as popular as they once were, this assertion may be true.

In the middle of the 1960s, rock ‘n’ roll began to wane. Is there a reason why rock ‘n’ roll bands are no longer in demand? Feminism is most prevalent. Parents believe that this music is detrimental and brainwashes youngsters because it causes youth and teens to beg their parents for drugs and embrace Spock’s views on drugs and breaking the law. Children of teenagers pick up negative behaviours like abusing and adopting their favourite code, among other things.

The following are important standards for appraising a particular artist: Analysis of the artist’s uniqueness and inventiveness in terms of theme, singing style, tone, personality, knowledge of the subject matter, communication skills, presentability, and cultural concern.

The following are the essential components of the “rock mentality,” vivacious, mad by nature, bold with words and demeanour, and fearless personality

Rock and roll and rock music have different styles:

(a) Contrary to what some people may have believed, rock & roll predates rock music in terms of appraisal.

(b) Although the words of rock and roll music are harmless and beautiful, the music itself is loud, aggressive, and steadily louder. In the 1990s, rock music made a resurgence.

(c) Rock music styles like punk rock and others are very heavy, whereas rock & roll was more bouncy and lighter (Bennett, 2018).

 

 

Question 2

“Rock and roll have no future. It’s only recycled past.”

Rock and roll, which is about 65 years old, began to lose popularity in the early 1960s. For the young, music is more like a show than actual music. We are aware of the structure and the fact that numerous singers have unsuccessfully attempted to write songs in the style of classic rock and roll band songs. They can no longer produce a sound like a rock band, which is why rock and roll music is not as popular as it once was. The parents believed that this music was detrimental and brainwashed their kids, and the youth and teens worried about their parents’ support for drugs, Spock about drugs, and disobeying the law. Children of teenagers pick up undesirable traits like abuse and dressing like their favourite musician.

According to Jagger, there is no future for rock and roll. The older rock and roll beat music is quite pleasant and beautiful to listen to, thus it might or might not be true. It’s not a good song that’s on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. These rock and roll musicians provide well-liked motivating music during the Disconfirm, Angst, and revolt eras of our civilization (Sauerbrei, et al., 2020).

Here are some reasons why rock and roll won’t survive:

The three well-known musicians Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Elvis Presley made the moment beautiful and memorable for everyone; without these three, there would be no rock n’ roll and we would not have been able to learn about the rock and roll music. 2018 (Bennett) Rock and roll music is losing popularity as people’s musical preferences change, but Us or their people are still committed to rock and roll and want them to return. For them, this music is like enduring love, and they continue to enjoy listening to and making it.

2) Rap music overtakes rock and roll as the most popular genre- The reality is that as generations change, so do people’s tastes in music. Rock and Rap music aren’t currently experiencing the same trend.

3) No longer receive support – As rock music’s appeal wanes, so does the backing it receives from record labels. Additionally, the fact that rock bands are now too old is the primary cause of rock’s demise. Music labels that don’t support rock and roll are responsible for its suffocation. Rock & roll is still popular in the US and is still supported.

Rock & roll has little chance of making a comeback in the twenty-first century because there is so much other music that people prefer in this day (Wald & Gonzalves, 2019).
