What is this assessment task about? Please refer to the program scenario and the simulated work environment provided for the course.

 

You are the Program Manager engaged by the sponsoring organization to:

 

a)    Establish the program vision and environment

b)   Manage risks

c)    Support staff learning

d)    Evaluate leadership practices

 

This task focuses on a) and b).

 

The trainer and assessor will play the role of the Program Sponsor in simulated work conditions.

Consult with them as required.

The trainer and assessor, in their role as Program sponsors, will provide feedback on how to program leadership was implemented in the program.

Formulate and negotiate the program vision with the program board.

Schedule a time with the trainer and assessor in week 2 of class to present and negotiate the program vision with the program board, played by a group of classmates (Role-Play).

The trainer and assessor will validate your participation in the meeting and provide feedback on how you led and facilitated it on the marking sheet meeting.

If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to make alternative arrangements with the trainer and assessor to perform the Role-Play.

Duration: 15-20 minutes.
